No fireplace. My house is all electric. I do have a kerosene heater and a propane heater,plus my camping stoves,but that about it. We got lucky on the ice,just about half an inch,but we're getting hammered with snow..got about 10 inches now,with more throughout the night and some more tomorrow.

Well I am so glad to see you still have power, so that means you have heat as well.
We are going to have to find you an old wood stove or something like what hunter has.
I have an electric fireplace listed now but that wouldn't do you any good.

Been sunny here lately, but not warm enough to melt any of this snow. At least it's given me a chance to catch up on my wood cutting. The pile in the barn is getting bigger again, and I plan to get some more under cover later today. They say the next two days will give us some rain or ice or snow, so I might as well get as much wood under cover as I can before it hits.

Well, we got another 4 or 5 inches of wet heavy snow. Today we're getting a break, but Sun and Mon they say 4 or 5 more. Looks like spring is a long ways off this year.

We had rain yesterday, mostly last night. Today has been WINDY and not just a little windy. I was standing outside talking to the neighbor while I was holding a 20 lb bag of dog food and the wind actually blew me back a few steps.
I hate when it is windy like this.

Low 40's - upper 30's this morning. I guess all that wind blew in a cold front.

We got a total of 7 inches of snow. It's now zero degrees.

Got some rain..got some snow..sun came out..then it got cloudy..still cold..winter blows..want spring to get here quick...

You know it's been a tough winter when you think it's a pretty nice day, and then you realize the temp outside is 10 degrees below normal.

Oh it is very cold here again. With the wind chills they are saying we are in the low to mid 20's. The winds are about 25 mph.

This is really unbelievable how cold we have been.

The animals are NOT happy.
